Garage East: Update on Repairs to the Garage East Structure

Anticipated Completion Date: December 2016
The project to repair the Garage East structure will resume on Monday March 21, 2016. The contractors will begin by blocking off their staging area on Elizabeth Blackwell Street. The sidewalk on the garage side of Elizabeth Blackwell Street will be closed for the duration of the project.
All stairway exits will be available during this project.
Change in closure schedule- The ramp from the fourth floor to the roof and the roof will be closed as of March 21, 2016. These areas will be closed until approximately March 28, 2016. Work completion is weather dependent.
On or about March 28, 2016- The ramp from the fourth floor to the roof and the roof will be opened. The next phase will begin on the west side of the garage (closest to Sarah Loguen St.) on the third and fourth levels. This will require closing the west side (Sarah Loguen St. side) of both of these levels. Signs will be posted around the affected levels directing pedestrian traffic. There will be signs posted directing pedestrian traffic. The estimated duration of this phase is six (6) weeks.
There will be increased Public Safety presence in the garage during this construction. Please see attached drawings of the construction area.
